Today in Germany: Carmudi raised, Comtech’s acquisition, Fox And Sheep’s acquisition.

Rocket Internet's Carmudi received a $25 million investment, Comtech gets acquired by Norwegian Komplett Group, Fox And Sheep got acquired by Haba.


Rocket's Carmudi has received a funding of $25 million

Carmudi is an international online car classified platform present in 20 different countries and backed by Rocket Internet. To continue growing in Asia and Latin America, it raised $25 million. Investors include Asia Pacific Internet Group (APACIG), a joint venture of Rocket Internet and Ooredoo, Holtzbrinck Ventures, a leading consumer internet investor, Tengelmann Ventures, a division of international multi-sector retailer Tengelmann Group, and a private investor.

Komplett acquires German retailer Comtech

The Norwegian ecommerce company Komplett is active in Scandinavia and has acquired the majority of shares in online retailer Comtech. This will bring Komplett back into the German market. However, will keep operating under its own name and will continue to exist as an independent subsidiary of The Komplett Group.

Fox And Sheep got acquired by Haba

Haba, the toy company, acquired the Berlin-based children app developer startup Fox and Sheep. Both companies decided not to share details, however, rumor has, Haba paid a seven-digit amount. 22% of the company's stock will stick with the founders Verena Pausder and Moritz Hohl.
