Wingly raises mid-size six-digit figure

German-French flight share platform Wingly announces its first investment. The medium size six-digit figure comes from Felix Haas, known for investing in Kreditech and Iwoca, and Thibaud Elzière, co-founder of Fotolia. The startup lets pilots offer flights to private people and split the costs among them.

Buddy raises Series A

Similar to many other businesses, Berlin-based mattress startup buddy offers a one-fits-all mattress that can be ordered online. It now announces a new investment: A seven-digit strong series A round was raised. Part of it came from Peter Pohlmann, the founder of furniture discounter Poco. The money comes at a good time: US-competitor Casper just recently announced it will launch in Germany.

Number26 reacts

Last week, Berlin-based fintech startup Number26 received a bit of a shit storm, after canceling users accounts without giving reasons. Understanding that wasn’t the smartest move, it has now stated reasons and claims it will look into specific cases again. As guessed within the community, one of the reasons were too many withdrawals from ATMs.
