Today in Germany: CheckMyBus, Service Partner One, Protonet, Spotcap

Check my Bus raises seven-digit figure

Nuremberg-based CheckMyBus compares long-distance busses from over 300 companies in 50 countries. Now, the startup that was founded in 2013 raised a seven-digit figure. Besides the founders themselves, Howzat Partners and business angels Cornelius Boersch and Bernd Dietel participated in the round.

Service Partner One raises $10 million

Berlin-based Service Partner One brings booking and office management services to websites and/or iPads. It now raised a $10 million Series A round which is led by EQT Ventures, with participation from Earlybird, Target Global, Rheingau Founders, Ringier Digital Ventures, and Vito Ventures.

Protonet raises $1.4 million

Hamburg-founded Protonet is known for its little orange server boxes and its participation in the Y-Combinator program. Unfortunately, with that a debate came up as the startup cut down its evaluation from €11.9 million down to $1.7 million – which the crowdfunding supporters that invested in the early stage surely didn’t count on. However, now the company raised €1.4 million from unknown investors.

Spotcap gets €14 million

Berlin-based lending platform Spotcap gets €14 million. Different to other financial deals this is not an investment but a debt-financing deal which means the startup will lend it to customers, pay back with interest and not hand out shares.
However, Spotcap decided not mention where the money came from.
