PaulCamper raises €1.2 million

Berlin-based sharing platform for caravans PaulCamper raises €1.2 million from Investitionsbank des Landes Brandenburg (ILB). The startup launched in 2013 and started out with its own capital. The investment will now be used to grow the team and expand.

Clark raises Series A

Berlin-based insurtech startup Clark raises a several million strong Series A round. Yabeo Capital, Kulczyk Investments, Hitfox and TA Ventures joined as new investors. Besides cash,  SevenVentures and Axel Springer also joined with media budgets which leads to an overall amount of €13.2 million. Clark is an insurance app that recommend contracts individually to one’s needs.

Wimdu lays off staff

Berlin-based and Rocket Internet-back Airbnb copy cat Wimdu seems like it hasn’t taken off as planned. Rumor has it that the company laid off people during a restructuring process. Having started in 2011 to compete with the American original, Wimdu seems like it won’t make it. Even a €90 million investment didn’t help.
