Flixbus acquires Postbus

Long-distance bus company Flixbus, Germany’s market leader, acquires Postbus, the market’s number two. The amount stays undisclosed. As part of the deal, about 5,000 Deutsche Post post offices will start selling bus tickets. Also, Flixbus will adjust the schedules and wants to roll out to further destinations.

Shore raises another round

Munich-based Shore (former Termine24.de) just recently raised €13 million. Today, the startup which offers an appointment booking and a CRM tool for small businesses announces another funding round. While the amount stays undisclosed, a new investor that is on board is mentioned: Metro Group opened its wallet as well as existing investor Otto Capital.

Caremondo files for bankruptcy

Last year, medical travel startup Caremondo announced a seven-digit investment. For this year, another round was planned. But suddenly, the investor backed off from the deal. As a consequence, Caremondo now files for bankruptcy.
