Gelbe Seiten acquires Arzttermine.de

Gelbe Seiten’s (Germany’s Yellow Pages) holding Müller Medien from Nuremberg acquires the majority of Arzttermine.de, a platform that lets you book doctor’s appointments. While the price stays undisclosed, the Berlin-based startup announced that the three founders (Bjoern Keune, Axel Kuzmik and Gennadi Tschernow) as well as a business angel Pascal Zuta will leave. Thomas Hillard and Simon Tietz, both employees of Arzttermine.de, will now share the CEO position.

Foodpanda sells Russian business for $100 million

Food delivery startup Foodpanda, backed by Berlin-based company builder Rocket Internet, sells its business in Russia “Russian Delivery Club” to Mail.Ru Group for $100 million. Reason for it is to focus stronger on Foodpanda’s core regions. That comes in handy for Mail.Ru Group, which says it already touches 94 per cent of Russia’s internet-using population through services such as Mail.ru, a facebook-like social network and others.
