It’s been a bumper week for news in the Venturevillage offices this week – with major investments in Berlin business, even more staff jumping ship over at Rocket Internet and exclusive chats with CEOs on the scene.
We’ve lassooed a Friday afternoon rope around our biggest headlines so that you can marvel at them on your way home. Enjoy!
Zalando gets Russian interest
Russian VC and Facebook shareholder Yuri Milner announced that his company DST Global will take a direct minority 4 per cent stake in the German online clothing retailer Zalando. We wonder whether this will lead to expansion into Eastern markets
Rocket Exodus continues
More key members of Rocket Internet left the fold this week, with Director of Marketing Andre Alpar and Marketing Consultant Dominik Wojcik both leaving to pursue separate projects, but both singing their old employer’s praises…
It’s been a busy week over at 6Wunderkinder – its mega task management cum social media client Wunderkit has gone public and has already been made app of the week on the iTunes store. See our full review and video tour around the 6WUnderkinder offices.
We get cosy with Simon Fabich
We catch up with hot new CEO Simon Fabich to talk about Monoqi, his newly launched shopping club to find out what makes it – and him – such hot property.
While elsewhere, Ciaran O’Leary from EarlybirdVC explains to us in his exclusive column for Venturevillage why German founders need to be more Product Alpha and less Powerpoint.
Need a place to hotdesk? We also published an awesome co-working map of Berlin, with our picks of the best places to plug in your laptop.
And finally our video team headed over to the launch of Network Awesome video, a treasure trove of archive videos – which we’ve reposted below… enjoy!
