Accelerators: How to fast track startup success

The formula for making a successful company is not just investment and a good idea. A key player in the startup world is the accelerator. Startup accelerators help teams get up to speed, quickly. They help identify growth strategies. They often provide mentorship, connections and educational components. With support, startups boldly take key next steps.

Typically accelerators take applications from a batch of interested startups. They will choose teams to participate over a fixed term, offering a small seed investment for equity. The accelerator management team will then execute on ideas, helping startups to get to presenting in front of investors for larger sums. They close the “time to market” gap, give access to investors and can provide a key mentorship network.

Accelerators at HEUREKA 2016

HEUREKA 2016 conference has partnered with three accelerators who will attend the Berlin founders event.

Hub:raum connects tech entrepreneurs with the network, business opportunities and capital of Deutsche Telekom. They’re looking for companies that can transform important markets in the telecommunications world. Startups will get the added value of co-working, mentoring and key introductions. Plus, they have offices in Berlin, Krakow and Tel Aviv.

Finally, METRO Accelerator aims to help hospitality and food tech startups. Their 13-week program, powered by Techstars, gives participants a free dedicated workspace in Berlin, as well as access to hospitality and food tech industry leaders.

Come meet the accelerator teams! They can answer your questions on what they’re looking for, the benefits to joining an accelerator and share their success stories. And you never know, they might be your next partners.
