The 2016 HEUREKA conference is less than two weeks away! The all-day event happening on June 7th promises to be exciting. With a startup food market, speed pitching event and many great speakers taking the stage, founders can find out how to take their business to the next level and investors can spot the next great ideas.
Agenda: HEUREKA 2016
The agenda for HEUREKA is now available. We’ve picked out some highlights to get you prepared for HEUREKA 2016.
From market leader to market shaper
Some startups are safely out of the emerging stages. Airbnb and Zalando ring any bells? Of course. Everyone knows them. So how does a market leader become a market shaper? How can a company position itself to influence an entire sector? Hear from management at Scout24, Airbnb and Zalando on how to become a market shaper.
Fireside Chat: From Germany to the US and back
HEUREKA is a Berlin-based conference but has an international focus. And so do almost all startups – why start small? The mega successful Refinery29 team (CEO, Phillippe von Borries and VP International Kate Ward) will talk about how they’re bringing the millennial online magazine from the US back to Germany and what that means for them. We’ll also have a session on “European pitfalls when attracting international money”, so stay tuned for that.
How to push corporate innovation
If any company wants to survive, innovation should be at the top of the priority list. Keeping up with market changes and competitors isn’t just good advice – it’s a crucial part of success and our speakers know it well. Among others, Stephan Jacquemot, Principal of Microsoft Ventures will speak on this important factor of success. Monique Woodward, partner at 500 Startups, will join him and later in the day talk about ‘diversity in portfolio management’, another hot topic.
It’s never too early to start a million dollar business
Our youngest ever speaker, Ben Pasternak, is just sixteen but will join us from New York to talk about being a young founder. His success story will inspire and engage you to get started early! He’ll be joined by Verena Pausder, founder of Fox & Sheep and Startup Teens.
Industry topics: From healthcare to media
Some industries are exploding. We’ll have discussions on fintech (“Will fintech will ever reach the mass market?”), the future of media, mobility (“Where to invest in the mobility market”), health (“How to tackle the billion dollar health market”) and more. Founders and business developers from JunoMedical, solarisBank, Pocket and other important startups will share their industry insights, along with key trends to look out for.
Workshops: From demo sins to data
HEUREKA 2016 will also have a number of workshops to let participants gain intimate insights and ask questions. Experts will share their knowledge on topics like “How to avoid 7 deadly product demo sins” presented by Steli Efti of Close.io and “Data 101 – What data setup you need in your first years” by LeRoi Digital Consulting & Intelligence. See the agenda for more valuable workshop topics.
