Betahaus, hy! and Hardware Berlin have combined efforts to launch a rare startup accelerator breed – the Berlin Hardware Accelerator – focusing on high-tech and hardware. The inaugural eight-week programme will take place this September and October. The aim? To bring together mentors, industry insiders and resources to help innovative hardware startups get off the ground.
“There are only a handful of hardware accelerator programmes worldwide and we are proud to not only have the first one in continental Europe, but also to be collaborating with Betahaus and hy!,” said a blogpost by Hardware Berlin.
Hardware Berlin, a quarterly event aimed at strengthening the hardware startup community in Berlin, unveiled a new slickly designed website last week. The last event – held at Betahaus – featured a keynote speech by Berlin Boombox founder Axel Pfaender and a series of pitches that shed light on some of the difficulties that arise for hardware entrepreneurs.
