Amorelie, the Berlin-based online sex shop, has received funding in the millions from Pro-SiebenSat.1 incubator Epic Companies and other investors. The deal is part cash investment and part media services – Epic Companies will use ProSiebenSat.1’s television network to market Amorelie.
Founders Lea-Sophie Cramer and Sebastian Pollok (pictured above) launched Amorelie in January 2013. The platform offers “products to bring more fun into your love life” – including sex toys and lingerie. In a statement, Cramer said “We see enormous potential to reach our goals even faster by collaborating with Epic Companies.
TA Venture, the German Startups Group, business angels existing investors Paua Ventures and Otto Capital also contributed to the latest funding round.
Since being founded in 2013, Epic Companies has launched a number of companies including online jewellery store Valmano, pet food provider Petobel, online fitness studio Gymondo and last-minute ticket service Todaytickets.
