The Elevator Pitch of Thuringia enters its 12th round with this year’s motto “idea looks for capital – idea looks for know-how”. Aspiring young start up firms and other innovative companies from Thuringia will present their ideas within 3 minutes to an expert jury and the audience.

3 June – GameDuell TechTalk with Boaz Leskes About Resiliency in Elasticsearch

From May 31st to June 3rd 2015, data engineers will gather at the 6th Berlin Buzzwords conference to discuss the latest trends in storing, processing and searching big data. Alongside the numerous lectures, barcamps and workshops, GameDuell steps in by hosting a free side event of its own. On Wednesday, June 3rd 2015, at 15:00, the Berlin-based games company will be hosting the next edition in its TechTalk series, this time dedicated to resiliency in Elasticsearch.
4 June – An Evening with Carsten Thoma (hybris, acquired by SAP)

Spend an evening with Carsten Thoma, co-founder of hybris and currently President of SAP Customer Engagement and Commerce. Founded in Munich in the late 90’s, hybris was one of the biggest exits in Germany when it was acquired for more than 1 billion Euros in 2013. Despite this huge success, little is known about the company that survived the ”dot-com bubble” burst up to become a leading provider of commerce solutions. Carsten will give insights into the hybris-story in an interview session including questions from the audience. Afterwards there will be pretzels and beer and time for networking.
4 June – Tech Meetup

The Berlin Tech Meetup is a bi-monthly event for fellow geeks, hackers, entrepreneurs and investors. Startupbootcamp Istanbul is a local chapter of global accelerator Startupbootcamp. Unlike the sibling branch in Berlin who works in Smart Transportation and Energy fields, they have no vertical and geographical limitations, any tech startup is welcome. Also different from other Startupbootcamp programmes, they are backed by a $10M fund which pledges to make follow-up investments up to $250K to the startups graduating from the program, so this is the extra offer in addition to the usual mentor and investor access, €15K and 3+3 free office space.
