Geek Girl Dinner Berlin Meetup

Bring your business cards and elevator pitch – even if you are new in town, this is a great opportunity to engage and ask questions. Everybody can attend this, Men just need to be invited by a woman, so there will be at least 50 per cent women.
Android Livecode Berlin Meetup
Date: Wednesday October 16, 7pm til 10pm

It’s the very first Android Livecode Berlin Meetup! Host Wooga will provide food and drink and there’ll be a livecoding session from 6Wunderkinder engineer Cesar Valiente and a talk on the PayPal Android SDK by PayPal developer evangelist Tim Messerschmidt.
Paris to Berlin Hackathon
Date: Friday 18 and Saturday 19 October
Location: Kunztschule, Schützenstrasse 6, Berlin
Highlights: A trip to Paris for the team with the best joyn app
Ever heard of joyn (RCS) and WebRTC? Two simple APIs to connect your app and website users through chat, video call, file exchange… For 48 hours we’ll be creating amazing ways to “establish the link”. Call it hack-a-chat-athon, if you will! The challenge is to get the other teams to use your solution by the end of the weekend.

Apply for Seedcamp Week Berlin
Date: Applications close on 20 October; the event itself takes place 18-21 November
Location: Seedcamp Week Berlin will be held at Microsoft Berlin
Price: Free to apply – only 20 teams will be accepted
Highlights: Get access to top advisors and open up a route to seed funding
Seedcamp Berlin will be a four day event aimed at connecting the 20 best web-tech, mobile and software talent with some of the leading entrepreneurs, developers, experts and investors from all across Europe and all over the world. New teams will join the Seedcamp family right after Seedcamp Week, be part of our year-round programme and have the opportunity to join us for our US trip.
Apply for Startup Activation Berlin 2013
Date: Applications close on 23 October; the event itself takes place 25 November
Price: Free to apply – only open to teams from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia
Highlights: The two top teams will go home with €30,000 each!
EIT ICT Labs Germany is happy to announce the first Startup Activation Berlin 2013, an idea contest to support entrepreneurs and early-stage startups in 19 EU countries. The contest focuses on ICT, in particular “Cyber-Physical Systems (including internet of things, embedded systems) and “Future Cloud”. Your ideas will be evaluated by experts in these fields and business developers.
