Facebook’s App Center Goes International: Open To English-Speaking Countries; Translation Tool Added
As of today, it’s official: Facebook has now extended the App Centre to Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom, with Brazil, France, Germany, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, and Turkey coming in the following weeks. Read more on TechCrunch.

German online directory service WinLocal raises €2 million
WinLocal, an online Yellow Pages-type service that also lets local businesses track the success of their listings, just closed a €2 million financing round with existing investors, following a €6.6 million round in January 2011.
The Frankfurt-based startup’s existing investors include US lenders Goggle LLC, BrainsToVentures, Xing and business angels Konstantin Urban and Michael Munz. WinLocal launched in 2008 and is apparently on track to deliver revenue of €8-9 million in 2012. Read more on Gründerszene (article in German).
Yahoo closes syndication deal with Dailymotion
Yahoo now has a syndication deal with French video streaming site Dailymotion. The main purpose of the deal is apparently to boost video sharing already happening organically. Read more on The Next Web.
IT outsourcing goes central: Freelancer.com Buys Scriptlance
Freelancer.com has bought one of its competitors, Canada’s Scriptlance, in an all-cash deal. The web properties now owned by Freelancer.com include GetAFreelancer (Sweden); LimeExchange (United States); Freelancer.co.uk (United Kingdom) and Freelancer.de Booking Center (Germany) – plus more. The company’s world headquarters are in Sydney. Read more on TechCrunch.
