ILA Berlin Air Show debuts ILA Startup Day
This year marks a special occasion at the ILA Berlin Air Show 2016 (1 – 4 June) with the debut on the 2nd of June of the ILA Startup Day. With this new event the organisers of the International Air Show aim to promote innovative startups and enable them to network with key players, facilitating the integration of outstanding technological solutions into the aerospace industry’s innovation processes. The goal is to attract mainly technology-oriented startups, but also companies involved in hardware, production, IT and in particular B2B.
The ILA Startup Day is co-organised by the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI) and Messe Berlin GmbH. Brigitte Zypries, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi), and the federal government’s German Aerospace Coordinator, will be acting as patron of the event.
Aerospace: good prospects for startups
The Startup Day will focus on networking, matchmaking and pitches. An all-day programme of events featuring lectures, keynote speeches, panels and sessions that targets startups will aim to introduce them to the world of aerospace.
At ILA 2016 the ILA Startup Day will take place in Hall 6 in the International Suppliers Center ISC. Admission to the ISC and ILA Startup Day is reserved for trade visitors only.
Registered participants in the ILA Startup Day will be able to benefit from established ISC matchmaking procedures, which will enable networking with aerospace industry representatives.
Companies attending will include Airbus, OHB System, Lufthansa Technik and Rolls Royce. Exhibitors, buyers, startups, accelerators, incubators and investors will have the opportunity to discuss prospective partnerships.
