Category Manager

You will have P&L and team responsibility and will drive the development of your category through managing your product mix, sourcing, merchandising, pricing and marketing actions and decisions.

About the role

  • Select, price and promote products effectively to deliver a compelling offering to our customers
  • Analyse the success of your area and implement sales and profit growth plans
  • Source, negotiate and develop long-term relationships with supplier
  • Improve the layout and functionality of your category on the site so as to increase conversion
  • Manage your Product Manager(s) to reach their targets for their product portfolio
  • Work cross-functionally with teams in marketing, technology and operations

About you

  • Analytical skills to develop insights into your category
  • Self-reliant & able to motivate a team
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with initiative and dedication
  • Able to manage relationships with supplier at a senior level
  • eCommerce, management/strategy consulting or retail experience preferred
  • Bilingual German-English

Salary is competitive, with bonus, an equity grant and superannuation also included. You’d be based at our office in Berlin, Germany, but would need to be able to travel occasionally.

Product Manager

You will have responsibility and will drive the development of your product portfolio through managing your product mix, sourcing, merchandising and pricing actions.

About the role

  • Select and offer the largest and most attractive product portfolio to your customers
  • Source, negotiate and develop long term relationships with suppliers
  • Set up promotions & other marketing actions to ensure consumers are tempted by our offerings
  • Analyse the success of your portfolio and implement sales and profit growth plans in conjunction with the Category Manager
  • Monitor the competitive market and ensure we are attracting customers with both our selection and pricing offers

About you

  • Analytical skills to develop insights into your product portfolio
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with initiative and dedication
  • Able to negotiate deals and manage relationships with supplier at a senior level
  • Self-reliant yet able to work well with a team spread across Europe and the U.S.

About you:

  • Someone with experience in direct and online marketing (preferably 3+ years)
