About the job

  • Manage campaigns across Facebook, online and mobile and optimize the performance of campaigns on an ongoing basis
  • Design engaging creatives with our graphics team
  • Work on the cross-linking between our different games (our network has almost 90m impressions per day)
  • Monitor and collect KPIs on a regular basis
  • Try out cool new stuff like RTB, retargeting and whatever comes up

Eventbrite is looking for a City Community Consultant for Munich (Independent Contractor)

As the City Marketing Manager for Munich, you’ll work as an independent contractor at the helm of a vibrant community of event organisers and attendees. City Marketing Managers are driven, independent, results-oriented, self-motivated, and organised. They are tasked with full ownership of marketing efforts on behalf of Eventbrite in their city: from writing projects to event planning. They are encouraged to develop creative tactics to grow the community of Eventbrite users and help us achieve our ambitious growth targets for the German market. We’ll set ambitious goals together and you’ll come up with creative ways to spread the word and create meaningful experiences that promote our brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive awareness and adoption of Eventbrite in Germany by developing sponsorship opportunities, hosting marketing events and networking within Munich’s SMB and tech community
  • Leverage your network and market insights to connect new and exciting leads to our US sales force
  • Evaluate and explore new opportunities, develop go-to-market strategies, drive measurable results, compile reportings, optimise, and scale!
  • Manage German press for Eventbrite, including day-to-day liaison with an external PR agency, generate and coordinate blog posts, press coverage and radio spots
  • Manage and provide the content for collateral and other marketing materials, including photos of Eventbrite Events or user testimonials.
  • Create Eventbrite’s online presence in Germany, including writing a weekly newsletter featuring local events, contributing a certain number of posts relevant to event organisers on the Eventbrite blog and creating our German social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

 Requirements:

  • 5 – 10 years of marketing experience
  • Degree from a leading university. Preferably a Graduate / Master degree
  • Living and working in Munich for at least the past two years. Extensive knowledge of the city, the local event scene, and the on and offline German media landscape
  • Connections with key press outlets is a plus (including nationwide publications, bloggers, online press outlets, etc.), as well as strong networks within the business (SMB) and tech scene
  • Passion for grassroots marketing and social media, experience in using social media to boost brand awareness and new customer acquisition, a strong existing social network (Facebook friends/Twitter followers) and a reputation for great ideas and event suggestions
  • Outstanding communication skills. Fluent (written and spoken) in German and English
  • Unbounded energy and drive. First one to arrive, last one standing. Never take no for an answer
  • Passion for event planning, strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Entrepreneurial business sense, ability to thrive in an extremely fast growing company
