25. October 2011–
On the 14th and 15th of October 2011, the WHU – Otto Bersheim School of Management hosted the latest edition of its founders’ congress IdeaLab! (www.idea-lab.org), bringing together, for the 11th time already, successful investors and skilled founders. One of the programme highlights was a panel discussion on “Berlin – the next Silicon Valley?!” with Florian Heinemann of Rocket Internet (www.rocket-internet.de), Felix Petersen of Amen (getamen.com), Jens Begemann of Wooga (www.wooga.com), Alexander Ljung of SoundCloud (soundcloud.com) and Stefan Glaenzer of White Bear Yard (whitebearyard.com), presented by TechCrunch’s (techcrunch.com) Mike Butcher (f.l.t.r.).
“English language blogs might give German companies the international recognition they deserve”
Besides talking about the startup hotspot of Berlin, equity models, innovation and copycats, the panel group discussed the significance of entrepreneurship’s public perception, stressing the importance of more English language blogs on the German startup scene (watch, especially, 00:59:15 and after). Well, VentureVillage is very happy to be able to do its share. Enjoy!
