“As an innovator in the web space and as a project driven by community, Mozilla is thrilled to make the Factory our permanent Berlin home,” said Mozilla CFO Jim Cook. “We are looking forward to playing a more active role in the vibrant Berlin internet community, building for the open web right where new web trends are created.”
In the past decade, Mozilla’s been a pioneer and advocate for the internet, creating and promoting open standards whilst advancing the Web as a platform. It’s more famously known for its free web-browser Mozilla Firefox, which is used by hundreds of millions of people worldwide.
It’s a big boost for the co-working space project, which, in addition to creating more jobs, will provide valuable resources and fellow mentorship to budding Berlin startups
