To celebrate the company’s first year in Europe, Fab has released figures that point to a successful beginning on the continent. Fab Europe was launched in Germany and is now available in 24 countries, increasing its customers from 150,000 in 2012 to 3.5 million today.
Interestingly, 30 per cent of Fab’s sales now come from Europe. The company first launched in the US in 2011 and has its European headquarters in Berlin – where it faces competition from designer eCommerce site Monoqi. In an interview with VentureVillage, cofounder and serial entrepreneur Jason Goldberg said Fab made $150m sales in its first year – an amount he said no one could have expected.
Goldberg has high hopes for the company’s future: “We want to be a brand like Facebook or Coca-Cola, where people around the world know about us.”
