Berlin-based early-stage VC Point Nine Capital hires serial entrepreneur Michael Wolfe as an advisor in Silicon Valley.
Launched in 2011, Point Nine Capital was the first VC firm to be founded in Berlin, with investments from Europe and English-speaking countries. The portfolio includes 40 companies and in total €46 million have been raised. With the new hire, it expands abroad which is important, especially for the startups with an international target group.
Michael Wolfe, an established Silicon Valley presence, who was instrumental in the launching and acquiring of a number of companies in his past, co-founded Vontu (acquired by Symantec for $350 million). He will stay in Silicon Valley and support and boost the growth of Point Nine’s portfolio companies in the US.
Christoph Janz, co-founder and Managing Partner at Point Nine Capital, said: “In the last year, we’ve had the pleasure to work together with Michael on two of our portfolio companies; Contentful and Typeform. He deeply impressed us with the breadth and depth of his knowledge and his ability to help young internet entrepreneurs.”
