Product Hunt, a 3-year-old online platform that lets people rate startup products and services, was acquired by AngelList, the company posted on their blog Thursday.

Ryan Hoover, Product Hunt founder, first connected with AngelList’s CEO, Naval Ravikant, in 2014, shortly after he created the platform.

“We’re both solving complimentary problems and the overlap of our communities is evident,” Hoover said in his emoji-filled announcement about Ravikant and the acquisition.

How they will coordinate and work together in the future was not explicitly stated, but Hoover reiterated the company’s focus on “product discovery” and “helping makers reach an audience.”

According to AngelList, this means, “…they’ll introduce new integrations to help companies reach passionate customers.”

No selling price was officially released, but several news outlets have reported it at around $20 million.
