If you’ve been dreaming of kicking a ball around with some of the best and brightest from Berlin’s startup scene, here’s your chance. The Gruenderkicken founders’ football league is about to kick off in Berlin and is still looking for eager players.
So far, about 50 people have signed up at the Gruenderkicken website, including from various Berlin incubators and up-and-coming startups. There’s no official line on the league’s vision just yet but it should be a friendly midpoint between networking and just getting together to play some sport.
Organiser David Barnowsky (pictured) says play will start in the next few weeks once a venue is confirmed. “We’ll start with trainings and we’ll have a full league later on.” He’s currently looking for sponsors to help finance the league.
And it’s not just for blokes. Barnowsky will put a ladies’ league together if enough women sign up (there’ll need to be quite a few more – so hurry and spread the word).
If you’re interested in playing, sign up now. Those interested in sponsoring Gruenderkicken can get in touch with David Barnowsky through us at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact him directly. Any questions, let us know in the comments below.
