Startupbootcamp Berlin announced today the eight startups that will join the accelerator for its three-month program starting on August 13th. The eight startups were chosen out of 20 finalists during the Startupbootcamp Selection Days over the weekend. The newest candidates will receive mentoring, six months of free office space at The Rainmaking Loft Berlin and €15,000 in seed funding.
This batch is the first to enter Startupbootcamp since the accelerator pivoted to focus on Smart Transportation & Energy three months ago. The program is also being built in San Francisco and is expected to launch in the fall of this year.
“This year’s batch, the first one entirely focused on Smart Transportation & Energy, is super competitive with teams coming from Germany, Estonia, Greece, Israel, the US, UK, Denmark, Spain, Serbia, Turkey and Egypt,” says Startupbootcamp CEO Alex Farcet. “We’ve also noticed that the teams are more advanced, some having already raised seed rounds, which is an indication of our growing reputation amongst founders.”
From the hundreds of startups that applied, here is a short introduction to the chosen eight:
CoModule (Prismattery) (Estonia): A B2B electric vehicle data monitoring platform that combines hardware and software.
Counterest (Spain): The Google Analytics for the physical world.
Einfach-machen-lassen (Germany): Enables eCommerce companies to offer their customers installation services at home.
myBus (Germany/Spain): A cloud based fleet management and enhanced passenger information system for public transportation.
Phaide Limited (Housahedron) (UK): A house monitoring kit consisting of a series of environmental recording sensors and a processing system.
Vinveli (USA): Drone Cloud is a fleet of autonomous drones with a network of docking stations which sustains uninterrupted drone operations 24/7.
