Vintage design marketplace Stylemarks nabs funding from German VCs

Stylemarks, a mobile marketplace for vintage fashion and design, has raised a “mid-level six-digit euro” sum of funding from Venista Ventures and Family’s Venture Capital.

The Berlin-based startup is among the first to go through the eight-week accelerator programme run by Deutsche Telekom’s new incubator hub:raum. Stylemarks will now have the option of staying with the incubator after the acceleration programme finishes up, as it works towards an iOS app release in March.

“We’re really happy to have Venista Ventures, [the] Family’s Venture Capital team around Max Thyssen and hub:raum on board. They will not only support us monetarily, but also strategically,” Stylemarks CEO Oliver Bronner said.

The Stylemarks’ team of nine is supported by an advisory board including former Bertelsmann Digital Media VP Alexander Jahn and Tech Open Air initiator Nikolas Woishnik.

It’s the second recent Berlin investment for Cologne-based venture capital firm Venista Ventures, following seed funding for Klash earlier this month. Family’s Venture Capital founding partner Max Thussen has previously invested in Mister Spex, Spotsetter, Madvertise and ChicChickClub.
