Berlin ticketing and event promoting company Tab Ticketbroker, which recently secured an undisclosed six-figure financing round from WestTech Ventures, will be launching its last-minute ticketing app 50hours “later this month”.
50hours gives you an overview of events in your area depending on the interests you’ve selected and promises ticket-purchasing directly through the app from 50 hours up to one minute before the event begins. Judging from its website, 50hours will be available only in German and in the DACH region first.
Tab Ticketbroker’s upcoming app will join an increasingly crowded ticketing space that includes last-minute event finding and booking app YPlan, which usually features events 48 hours before they start and received $12m of funding in June to expand globally. In Germany, the company faces competition from Todaytickets and soon Vamos, which is slated to roll out its ticketing app in coming months.
In 2012, Redalpine – through a collaboration with Berlin-based accelerator MAS Angel Fund – announced its investment in Tab Ticketbroker. Additionally, the company, which was founded in 2010, reportedly reached seven-figure revenues last year through “third-party marketplace sales”.
