Are you an avid cycler that loves startups and a good cause? On 26 – 28 July, TechBikers is organising a 380 km bike ride – from Prague to Berlin – for those involved with German and Czech tech startups. The event hopes to combine sports and networking to raise a goal of €30,000 for dotHIV, a charity that taps into the internet to raise awareness on HIV/AIDS and strives to become "the Red Ribbon for the digital age".
Among the 40 participating entrepreneurs, investors, developers and startup enthusiasts will be Axel Springer Plug & Play Founding Managing Director Ulrich Schmitz and Hubraum Programme Manager Fee Beyer.
Launched in 2012 in London, TechBikers raised about €30,000 for Room to Read – which financed one school and two libraries in Nepal – on its three-day ride from Paris to London last September.
