Eventbrite is opening an office in Berlin

Eventbrite announced it is hiring in Germany’s capital. Up for joining the team? Today a meet up takes place at the Rainmaking Loft.

 

Deutsche Telekom brings Humin to Europe

After Humin launched in the U.S. in August, it will be available in Europe later this August, announces Deutsche Telekom. Humin wants to reinvent how contacts are organized and wants to do so in a smart, emotional and intelligent way. The cooperation will start in Greece, the Netherlands and Germany. More countries will follow.

Zalando plans IPO in 2014

After months of speculation, Zalando has announced its plan to list on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange this year. The Berlin-based fashion retailer intends to offer newly issued shares, as the company focuses on reaching profitable growth. Read more

360dialog receives 6 digit investment

The Berlin-based startup 360dialog offers in-app messaging, retargeting, emailing, push notifications and follows a complete customer life circle.  The startup now has 35 employees and received a six digit euro investment by Martin Sinner (founder of idealo) and Felix Snow.

memorado raised 1.3 million & announces 1 million users

Two ex-Wimdu’s received a $1.3 million seed round for a brain training games website from a round that includes known founders from Berlin, e.g. from Zalando and Hitfox. Read more

Delivery Hero raised another $350 million round

Berlin-based online food ordering site Delivery Hero reached a $1 billion valuation on the back of the Pizza.de acquisition. Just now, Delivery Hero raised another $350 million in financing. That sums up to a total amount of $520 million that has been raised this year, and $630 million in total. Rocket announces Global Fashion Group (GFG)

Five of Rocket’s fashion brands will unite as the Global Fashion Group, and will have a combined valuation of €2.7 billion ($3.5 billion). Read more on TechCrunch.

Third FinTech startup in Rocket Group

Spotcap is Rocket’s third FinTech startup after Lendico and Zencap. The new online credit platform is designed to help small business owners invest and grow without having to worry about the limitations and challenges that come with seeking credit from a bank.
