Here is what happened this week in German startup news.

United Internet invests €5 million in Rankingcoach

The Cologne-based startup Rankingcoach, which helps clients improve their web presence and rank higher in web searches, received 5 million euros from United Internet. The startup, founded in 2014, plans to use the money to promote the brand internationally; their software is currently available in 24 countries.

Zenjob closes €3 million financing round

The Berlin-based startup Zenjob received 3 million euros from the help of Redline, Acton and 500 Startups. The startup, founded in 2016, helps students find temporary work with hotels or delivery services. The team of 30 was previously backed by Atlantic Labs and several business angels.

Swipestox closes €12.5 million Series A round

The Hamburg-based FinTech Swipestox closed a 12.5 million euro Series A financing round, thanks to Fosun,  a Chinese investment group. Fosun invested the entire 12.5 million euros in The Naga Group, Swipestox‘s parent company. The startup was founded almost a year ago and plans to use the money to expand their social network platform for stock traders.
