Just around the corner from the Wedding S-Bahn Station, in a back building, and up two flights of stairs is a co-working space we were lucky enough to discover this week. The space We Work We Live has been open since May 1st and is owned by Canadian entrepreneur James Chutter and Austrian PR specialist Anna-Lina Chutter.

Besides an affinity for the startup scene, both have a deep passion for a balanced lifestyle that is reflected in the atmosphere at We Work We Live. Yoga classes are offered by Anna-Lina 3-4 times a week in their yoga studio (pictured below). Hot tea and nutritious smoothies are a daily ritual and perhaps most unique are the co-working trips the couple organizes for anyone interested to remote destinations several times a year. The idea of the retreats is to get out of the office to work in an inspiring new setting with like-minded people. Their next trip to Panama costs $500/per week plus travel expenses.

James Chutter explains the vision for We Work We Live: “We try to bring together like-minded entrepreneurs that kinda fall through the cracks in that they are not super high-growth tech startups kinda guys that work till three in the morning. They are also not the type people who just want to stay home. It is a mix. People who have a big passion for the work that they do but also a passion for other things in life. Like surfing, yoga and good eats.”
